Can I trade during news on FunderPro Futures?

News trading rules for FunderPro Futures challenge and funded accounts: allowed on all evaluations, restricted on Beginner funded accounts, allowed on Mid-Level and Professional funded accounts.

Written by Evelyn

News trading rules on FunderPro Futures depend on your challenge type and whether you are in the evaluation or on a funded account.

During the evaluation (all FunderPro Futures challenge types)

News trading is allowed during the evaluation phase on all three FunderPro Futures challenge types: Beginner, Mid-Level, and Professional. There are no restrictions on opening, closing, or holding positions through high-impact news events while you are in the challenge.

On a funded account

Mid-Level and Professional funded accounts

News trading is allowed. There are no restrictions. You can open, close, and hold positions freely through all news events.

Beginner funded accounts

News trading is restricted on Beginner funded accounts. Trading is disabled for 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after all high-impact news events.

  • You can keep positions open during news releases if they were opened before the restricted 2-minute window.

  • However, new trades cannot be opened or closed during the restricted timeframe.

You can view upcoming high-impact events by checking the Economic Calendar in your FunderPro Futures Dashboard.
